Helping people get back to living their lives with less pain and more mobility is the best job in the world. I specialize in neurosurgery with a focus on degenerative spine conditions. With over 30 years of experience, I’ve logged well over 10, 000 hours in the operating room. This experience, combined with my focus on innovative surgical interventions, qualifies me as a total nerd—which my patients seem to appreciate. To meet the needs of patients throughout our region, I see patients at many Dartmouth Health locations. These include Lebanon, Keene, Manchester, and New London, New Hampshire. I work with my patients to help them feel empowered to make informed decisions about their care. Whenever possible, I try to focus on non-surgical treatments. When I do recommend surgery, I find that patients who participate in creating their individual care plans experience the best results. Beyond neurosurgery, my other interests and hobbies include reading, trivia, crossword puzzles, cooking, welding, skiing, and Formula 1. My wife and I live in Hanover, New Hampshire, and spend lots of time being taken on long walks by our three dogs.
